Since The Dorset Waste Partnership (DWP) was launched in 2011, refuse vehicle hire and maintenance specialists, Collett Transport Services (CTS), have been providing vehicles for the seven Dorset councils whose waste, recycling and street cleaning services have been brought together.
Paul Chesterman, Transport Manager, DWP said: "During the past few years we have been testing different vehicles to see what fits best in what area and the team at CTS have been very supportive in adapting vehicles to accommodate the changing needs of our service. Not only have CTS provided hire vehicles at short notice they have made major changes to a number of our own vehicles by modifying trade lift and open back vehicles and converting to split lift vehicles by retrofitting CTS refurbished Terberg OmniDEL Binlifters."
CTS has a hire fleet of over 120 vehicles and has provided a wide range of RCVs, including 7.5-tonne, 15-tonne and 26-tonne vehicles now in operation throughout Dorset. Recently, the DWP took delivery of CTS' latest arrivals, two new 7.5-tonne Isuzu chassis with NTM bodies.
Andy Collett, Director, CTS said: "Our aim is to build long standing relationships with our customers. We achieve this by supplying the right vehicles with the right workmanship at the right cost, and we are delighted to have provided this service to DWP since they began."
CTS is part of Specialist Fleet Services Ltd (SFS) and offers flexible and competitive refuse vehicle hire packages for the short or long term. The company's expertise includes total municipal fleet support from contract maintenance, workshop management, mobile repairs, roadside assistance and recovery, and complete vehicle refurbishment.
